4 Qualities That Develop Wisdom Consciousness

Exciting New 5-Part Series from Journaling.com!

Dear ,

I hope this message finds you well. I'm thrilled to introduce a new 5-part series we are creating for the Journaling.com community called Awakening Consciousness.

In this inaugural edition (Part 1), we’re going to explore WISDOM Consciousness. I’m talking about the profound wisdom that resides within each of us, that can guide our path with clarity and purpose.

A few years ago, I was fretting about what to do and

I was looking for an expert who could help me.

In a moment of clarity,

I wrote these words on the page:

“YOU are the guru you’ve been looking for.”

But how can that be? Experts know more than we do, right?

Not true.

Too often we turn our power and decision-making over to others,

but in reality,

we know more than we think we know.

Let’s awaken the guru within and embrace the wisdom that awaits us.

What is wisdom consciousness?

I believe that inner wisdom is an innate understanding and intuitive knowledge that arises from deep within us. It transcends mere intellectual reasoning and is rooted in a profound awareness of one's true self and life experiences. Inner wisdom guides us in making decisions aligned with our values, purpose, and spiritual growth — fostering clarity, compassion, and resilience in navigating life's challenges.

Inner wisdom comes from knowing, respecting and loving our true self, flaws and all. But how do we get to know who we really are? This is where mindfulness practices like journaling and meditation come in. They quiet the mind and help us get to know ourselves better. Here are three self-reflection questions to help you connect with your inner guru.

1.    Your Inner Voice. Think about a recent decision or situation where you followed your intuition. What insights did your inner voice provide? What form does Inner Guidance take for you?

2.    Wisdom from Challenges. Think about a recent challenge or obstacle you've faced. What did you learn from overcoming this challenge? How did this experience deepen your understanding of yourself and your capabilities?

3.    Future Self Guidance. Imagine yourself three years from now, feeling fulfilled and content. What decisions and actions has your current self been making now that your future self might want to thank you for?

Surprising Requirements for Wisdom Consciousness

While I was researching wisdom, I came across two psychological studies that kind of blew my mind. I thought that Wisdom Consciousness was all about self-knowledge. But scientists in two studies have uncovered that there are actually four qualities that we must possess if we want to enjoy true wisdom:

1.    A deep understanding of ourselves

2.    Compassionate empathy for others

3.    Openness, and

4.    Emotional stability — keep using Notice Name Relax Release (NNRR)

HERE’S THE BIG BEAUTIFUL IDEA…

Inner wisdom is awakened when we come to know, respect and love

both OUR authentic self

and the authentic self in OTHERS.

(you can quote me on that )
