I have an interesting story to tell you about the power of joy and the joy of creativity. Two years ago I started a podcast called “The Power of Journaling.” In the beginning, the podcast focused on interviews with journaling experts. I really enjoyed it and I learned a lot.
But I had a creative longing in me to have less structured podcasts and to just speak from my heart on various topics having to do with journaling and life design.
This morning I received some exciting news. According to Spotify and Apple iTunes,
“The Power of Journaling” is now…
· The top 25% most shared globally, AND
· The top 15% most followed podcast (in self-improvement and education).
What I find fascinating is that I created this podcast just for the joy of it. And look what happened? I think this is confirmation to follow our joy-sparks.
What about you? Have you thought about having a podcast? There are many benefits to having a podcast:
- Promote your brand or work
- Create something that helps others
- Express your ideas
- Launch in time for January’s self-improvement season
I’ve been asked to teach a workshop this Saturday, December 3 called:
Your Creative Voice:
Podcasting for the Joy of It
(The workshop will be recorded, in case you can’t make the live event.)
The cost is $111. (I like fun numbers)
This is a small, private workshop of beginners, just like you. There is no pressure, only the fun of creating. I’ll teach you how to sign up for Anchor (the program I use to distribute my podcast), record your intro and outro, and practice recording your first podcast. Afterward, I will send you the recording so that you can watch it again and again whenever you want to.
I hope you can join me.
To sign up (or to get on the waiting list for the January workshop) email me directly at: [email protected]
I hope you are enjoying your journaling. Let me know if I can ever help you with anything.
