Alien Lovers UNITE, ,
Welcome to the smuttier side of romance books with alien peens and the mates that love them.
HAPPY FOURTH EVERYONE!
What people want, what they really, really want to know to get excited and read a new book?
As an author, this question is difficult because it's different for every reader. So, what's a gal to do? Marketing gurus discuss how it takes a certain number of times of a person seeing something before they even give it a chance, around 7 times according to their studies on it.
But even after 7 times of seeing a book, and becoming interested in the content enough, this still doesn't equate to reading a book sometimes. So, like different learning methods in school, I am providing the different reader lures that get the eyeballs twinkling.
QUOTES, TROPES, and FOMO Community.
These are the main triggers for readers, including myself.
See a good quote lately that gets you excited to read a book? What was it?
QUOTES
Here's a quote from Her Alien Prince from Mood_in_Between_Pages
Follow her for more book quotes, she adds her favorite quotes to all her Instagram posts. @mood_in_between_pages on Instagram: “Unfolding romance and surprising twists: My favorite quotes from Her Alien Prince. . . . . . . . . As someone who was initially put off by…”
Tropes:
Another things authors struggle with is really recognizing tropes in their own books, we know some of the obvious ones, but sometimes we aren't even aware of some of them and then readers find them and point them out and we are so very lucky to have wonderful readers like Diana Wolf, Becky from Romantic_Pursuing_Feels and others!
The Last bit is a FOMO (the fear of missing out on something fun that you can share with other readers)
The Fourth Wing has this in spades across booktok bookstagram and more. EVERYONE is jumping on the reader train for this book, but ask yourself why?
Sure, yes you get some people adding the tropes, the quotes, and the feels, but really it's about so many readers hyping the book up and wanting to be part of the community. Even if we don't want to admit it to ourselves, seeing something over and over and over again from one reader after another even if all they say is "Loved it" and you knew nothing else about the book except it has dragons and thousands of people are so crazy about the book they spend a ridiculous amount of money just to get ahold of the first edition with the black pages and dragon cutouts.
I'm not viral on booktok or bookstagram yet, but I feel all the fuzzies when another reader shares their thoughts about my books with other readers! Thank you Books_N_Tea_ and everyone who shares my worlds with me! You make me smile every day!

You stole my purpose to protect you the moment you drew first blood. INDIE BOOK TEMPTATIONS for JULY!
Imagine minding your own business before you’re dragged kicking and screaming into Hell.
My name is Lexi, and I’m a good girl. Or always thought I was until my parents sent me to Adam’s Angelic Academy where I met four of the hottest boys...erm fallen angels I'd ever met.
They have a plan for me, and I’m pretty sure it has nothing to do with waiting until marriage to pop my cherry. While terrified, I also can’t help this feeling of want that’s been ignited inside me since first meeting them.
Will they keep me for themselves or send me to the depths of Hell to be Satan's pet?
The only thing I know is sometimes good girls go bad, and I may just be what the devil ordered.
Hell’s Harem is a dark paranormal story that’s hot as Hell itself and filled with four tantalising demons vying for the female they desire. There’s no choosing in Hell. You’ve been warned.
