We return to Necias Prime warriors, and to that free book you grabbed when you joined this newsletter. Like with most things freesies, we snatch it up, and then it gets lost in our e-readers, unlikely to be read. Check out the free indie highlight from Tamsin as well for alien pirate brides!
This is my gentle nudge to dig Her Alien Exchange out, or grab it if you missed it and check it out.
Unlike most free books, I did take the time to make the book a full story, a fun shorter read around 45k words, making the book under 4 hours to enjoy, If you're fast you could probably read it in 3 hours.
I made the book this length specifically so that readers could enjoy a bit of escapism and potentially finish the story before they sleep.
For busy bees like myself, most of the time my reading starts when the kids are asleep, and that means starting the book I'm reading at around 9pm or later, depending on how cooperative the humans in training are. Basically, the goal was even if you started the book at bedtime with an average reading speed being between 3-4 hours, you could finish the book by midnight or 1 am, saving you 1 to 2 hours of precious sleep, or allowing you to complete the book by 1 am without cursing bodily needs and staying up until 5 am to finish a book. ONLY, to then have to wake up in an hour when the kiddos get up, and you curse the day you started a book that was good before bedtime.
I think the biggest complaint I've received on Her Alien Exchange is that it was not longer. Orrrr, perhaps you don't like exhibitionism and like your romances to be a bit more closed door. Don't worry, Commander Roe-el doesn't like to share, he just likes to show off and gains pride in pleasuring his mate for all to know she is well taken care of.
As is the way of the tribal warriors of Necias Prime.
