Grab Stretched for the Gargoyle FREEsies with Author Newsletter!
If you missed it, we voted on what will be the next freebie newsletter book for everyone, written by yours truly!
We voted for DRAGONS!
We had more name submissions than I thought we'd get, since I know lots of you open, read, and keep up to date, but as book introverts, sometimes it's difficult to go the extra step of participating and hitting that reply button! So, thank you for making this last week super fun by giving your replies.
We had a total of 46 voters, and it was neck and neck for a time on who would win, until it was clear a majority were choosing our winner Lachlan with a total of 44 points.
It was a close match up because Onyx and Nakayto were leading for a while, tossing back and forth on who was mentioned most. And your secondary votes really can add up!
Every vote mattered for this, because we could have easily had another 9 voters show up and then... Boom, perhaps they didn't pick Lachlan as their first and Onyx could have taken the lead. 9 people isn't really that much of a margin, and these were only the readers who participated by replying, when on average there are 2,000 people who open these emails regularly out of the 6,000 people signed up to hear from me, and around 250 people who actively reply or check out books mentioned here from email to email.
LACHLAN is our WINNER for NAME THAT DRAGON!
And thank you to everyone who submitted a name, voted, and made this fun!
And my own personal favorite Nakayto will not be forgotten, I'll definitely use that name for a future MMC!
Lachlan will be our first alien dragon that will find his human mate in a bookstore, Avery is the second alien dragon that will find his human mate in a coffee shop, and our third dragon will remain a mystery until the books are created.
This idea is very much character driven, with plot and spice like usual, but I will warn you that when I say the mates will have to go through fire for each other, it will definitely have the angst with our tough cinnamon rolls that will burn the world with touch her and die vibes. I love horns, wings, and fire! So, this will be a fun one to write.

"You seem to have been redirected from your destination and removed from stasis without proper procedures. You have been sold to a krelin based on recorded conversations since being activated. Ah, you are lucky. They are not transferring you to another ship, this will make it easier for my main servers to find you later. You were sold to a krelin named Domsal, and a pleasure district called the Kokova."
Great, I thought sarcastically, just another bump on the road towards finding Al-Hez. Honestly, it seemed too perfect to be hijacked like this, and this whole situation had all the underpinnings of being targeted by the bastard I was hunting.
If he thought being sent to a slut shack was going to stop me and my team from finding them, they had another thing coming. Indi would hack into their system eventually and I'd be out of there in no time.
Just needed to recover and be ready when Indi's main servers found me.
I shivered and pain shot through my spine.
"I'm experiencing a series of disruptions to my functionality as your temperatures continue to rise," Indi didn't sound "concerned", but that was just a side-effect of only having part of his data available on my implant. There was no point in telling me that there were disruptions when he should be saying which functions were down and actively trying to solve the issue, but I knew when he spoke like that it meant there was nothing he could do. He was worried, not for himself, since this was only a copy of his base programing functions, his main servers would be fine without me.
"I'm reprogramming the nanobots that try to connect with your implant to try to save the core systems when I'm no longer viable. They are not ideal, but they do as they are programmed within their capabilities."
"She is showing signs of the Fume Fever," someone said, but their voice sounded muffled and distant.
"If she is worthy of the hive then she will survive," a male hissed and a series of clicking noises filled the room.
I knew only the basics about the krelins because of their association with the estrelds, but that was Bryce's area of expertise to know about the species we came in contact with. Without Indi or Bryce to help, I was screwed.
"Protocol wizard initiated," Indi chimed, and I knew he'd shut down soon. It was just a reminder that he thought the error probability that accounted for the infinite improbabilities of one existing in multiple states at once like he explained that he did. I was rambling, and Indi sometimes said things that were hard to understand about himself, but it was clear enough that he believed given my molecular structure, that I would never fully understand his quantum computing functions, but that I would have to believe in the magic of the unexplainable, though he thought he was perfectly explained. Protocol wizard was a reminder to believe in the small chance of my survival even if I had to tell my mind magic was real.
Magic is real, Indi, I thought with a determination even my mother could be proud of.
I was going to beat this fever and Indi was going to find me in an alien slut shack, then we were going to find that mother-fucking asshole that set us up.
We're coming for you World Destroyer.
