Hi , welcome back to my author newsletter with alien peens, monsters, magic, and the readers who love them!
The Charity Anthology for the Humane Society is now launched! You can read it immediately and help support a good cause, while enjoying some steamy reads! That's the good news. mybook.to/TheStoriesBetweenUs
The bad news? Before we get to that, I've come back up to the top of this newsletter and realized that I can't let my bad news get in the way of sharing some fellow indie authors. Please check them out and then come back, I'll still be here when you return.
Check out some Freebies for April:
Blind Date with a book (All Freebie Reads):

A dying human, a deadly virus, and an out of this world bond that defies fate. Click here (okay, this one isn't really a blind date... It's me! One-hour short read of smexy vampire alien Commander Tensel! Happy reading!)
Okay, the bad news:
One of my fellow authors in the anthology was found to have used AI as the prompt was mistakenly left within their story. The story and the author have since been removed from the anthology, but it's disappointing to have to mention it at all when the whole anthology is for a good cause, and there really isn't a good reason to use generative AI when that was clearly one of the requirements for joining is to be human, and generously give of yourself for a good cause.
I'm not sharing this to spark debate about AI usage. I'm not going to reply with who the author is or what story it was, because 1) I never actually looked to see or investigate which author was removed. I purposely avoided looking because I don't believe in adding negativity to the world, or allowing it to control my purpose of adding positivity into my spaces. And 2) the issue was resolved, and I don't believe in shaming people for making mistakes.
Generative AI is dangerous to human society as a whole on more than ethics of where the data was farmed from. The environmental impact of the data centers alone should give people pause on their usage of it, but I'm not going to turn this into a rant or debate. I simply believe it's my duty to inform readers of the mistake, and assure them that Sasha, the lovely human who helped bring all of us together for this anthology, is on top of resolution of the mistake, and there are still many lovely, human-made, independent authors, that have generously donated their time and stories to this good cause.
If you wish to know more about this issue you can see the announcement here:(5) Instagram Luckily, the issue was caught and fixed before all the printing was done, so the print book that will be available at the event is updated and unaffected by the AI usage.
It's important now more than ever to support humans instead of the generative mass production of prompt stories flooding the market these days.
It will become increasingly more difficult for readers to distinguish its usage, especially since many people feed their work into AI willingly thinking that they have a tool to help them with their disabilities in life, but it is those disabilities that create a uniqueness to their work.
Briefly, I will tell you why I believe my writing is better without AI assistance that has nothing to do with catching up with the times and being left behind if I don't jump onto the technological future.
I have ADHD, which really more aptly should be called something more akin to an attention regulation than a deficit of attention. Too much or too little, under or over stimulated, an inability to motivate internally due to low dopamine production. Shutting down due to tasks being overwhelming. It's why my first book took my 9 years to finish, because I didn't realize I had ADHD. My next book took 2 years to finish the first draft.
This was about the time that I started to recognize why I was great at a LOT of different things, but a master of none. This depressed me immensely and contributed even further to my deteriorating confidence and ability to even have motivation to seek out dopamine by even my safe activities like writing, reading, video games, and board games. What was the point? I'd never finish anything.
To this day, I have yet to finish a single video game. I always restart the games from the beginning... and always lose motivation before finishing. I'll get hyper focused, and if I don't finish during the high, I forget the whole thing and have to start over when the motivation returns. Often triggered by some random thing, sparking my interest in it.
Okay, I lied about briefly. I really did try, and then got lost in the process of trying to explain. But just now noticed I was going down a rabbit hole. One of the things I LOVE about my writing is that it maintains my attention and then keeps pulling me back to write more into the universe I've created.
The universe of Trillume has that pull of immediate satisfaction of being able to complete a task of reading a book that is technically standalone no matter what book you read, but interconnected so you have the desire to read another one, and not get bored with it, because it's like peeling back an onion and there's a new layer to the universe unveiled that answers questions from another book, and poses new ones. That seems complicated, but it's wrapped into an uncomplicated expectation of two people finding love together and an optimistic view that though you know they will work out, it's the journey that keeps you reading and the added background universe with new discoveries that captures interest with each book released in the universe.
My ADHD adds a layer of stream of consciousness to the first-person POV that I think really draws a reader in and holds their attention while exploring the weirdness of something other and alien, while still being relatable to the human experience. Is my writing for everyone? No. I think you either love it and become a huge fan of my work, or you hate it, and never want to read another book of mine again.
I'm okay with that, because if I write for everyone... I write for no one. I think there is a place for my voice in this AI proliferated ocean of books. I love that I try to create species and planets that address the things I dislike about the constraints we humans place on ourselves, and the alien universe allows for a platform of acceptance, healing, and positivity.
What if there was an alien world where they recognized that we are all just organisms interacting with the universe, and it's okay that you aren't perfect. None of us are perfect, and expecting yourself to be is unreasonable. Expectations are the cause of disappointment and literally for ADHD the reason we often fail. Just take each rising, one step at a time. Seek out positivity, and perhaps other beings that help you be your best self. Who says you can't realize your dreams? Who says you can't rock a supernatural cock to get through this messed up world? TO the STARS MOtha F-cker!

My success as an author is directly tied to your reader support. I can't really help that my motivation is regulated by your interest. The more people rate, review, share my books, the more motivation I have to stick to my steps that help me finish a book. Not that I would give up writing if people stopped reading, but my motivation to produce/put my writing out there for you to read does directly correlate with the positivity you give.
I have found ways to help regulate my attention to complete books that negates the negativity associated with people who don't like my work. So, no, I do not let someone's negative opinions of my work stop me from writing, because I have convinced myself over many peptalks that to be loved means there will also be hate. It means that I've touched nerves of humanity to do so. What speaks to one person and brings joy will inevitably also cause an opposite reaction in someone else. That is okay. I do not have control over that, and it is a choice to accept negativity, otherwise that negativity simply stays with those that choose to give it. Someone offers you a gift and it is filled with hate, I can choose not to take the gift, or accidentally take it only to remind myself that I do not have to keep it. It is not mine unless I claim it.
A motto for anyone to follow, really.
So, thank you to everyone who supports my books. Your positivity is motivating, and is what I focus on when I need help regulating myself. I often use your positive reviews to help me push through brain fog when my attention is low, and my dopamine feels nonexistent. I do have days where I simply exist if not for the people around me to help remind me of the things that bring joy. And I know it's cliche to say coffee is life, but caffeine is often used to help regulate myself since I am unmedicated. Without it, I often find myself forgetting to eat, drink, or go to the restroom, only doing things for others or doing nothing at all.
I have super days of massive feats of productivity, and I have massive failures of days where I wonder why I even exist if I don't function. Highs and lows. But one thing that I am reminded of within my worlds and the stories I create is having grace for myself. Removing the guilt that I force upon myself for being me.
I think there are more neuro-divergent brains in this world than there are neuro-typical and we've just done a fabulous job of masking it to fit what we believe is normal. Maybe normal is exactly who we are, and we all just need to be kinder to one another.
Okay, I have to be done now. I'm pretty sure this newsletter suddenly became a procrastination for what I'm supposed to be doing right now. Writing the books! Adios Alien Fudgers!
xoxo

"In Sky Robert unmistakable style, there's twists and turns and sexual tension enough to get you on the edge of your seat." - Sandra on The Alien's Chosen from The Stories Between Us Charity Anthology

Check out joining Hot and Steamy in Vancouver Washington: https://www.hotandsteamyevents.com/
The short story The Alien's Chosen, is an introduction into an alien bride program of the Trillume Universe. It takes place after the events of the other books in the series and includes an unGor MMC, Axelun, who has lived most of his life on Earth as an ambassador of his planet. He was sent to Earth young, so that he'd absorb the local customs of humans, but he is anything but human and it's jaded his opinion of romance until he meets our troublemaker FMC with a selfless heart, Timber.

The characters were very appealing and complex and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and exciting and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!" - Johanna
Her Alien Delegate is a reverse harem of three spicy unGor with tentacle peens that steal the heart of our shy FMC, Evie, who comes into her own and wears her unGor mating bondage with grace and pride. If you've read Her Alien Exchange, then you'll remember Evie as the bestie of Violet's protective nature, and these timelines overlap! Happy Reading!

Standalone plot with spice adventures of fated mates, space vampires, knotting, and bonds that will last beyond the stars!
Jewel of the Alien Bandit is about an outlaw who is earning his freedom and finally has the chance with the biggest score of a lifetime, only to find out the jewel he's there to steal isn't an object but a princess who is both ready to mate, and ready to protect her planet from an incoming invasion!
Her Alien Prince has a dangerous commander of a fleet of invading warriors desperate to save their planet by taking over another, only the prince has different plans to save his hive by mating a queen to join their species together, only the one he falls for isn't the future leader of Estreldez, but the future queen of his heart. Choosing between duty and love, but fighting for both, the krelins are a hive-mind species with wings, horns, and a telepathic mate bond!
Her Alien Insurgent is a standalone like the rest, but it is more enjoyable after having read at least one of the books before it like Jewel of the Alien Bandit and Her Alien Prince, which happen in parallel timelines to each other. It's about a spy warrior protecting his planet by keeping the krelins in check and preventing an invasion from those who stray from the treaty between their planets. He meets a lost human on the hunt for an outlaw only to discover they're after the same thing, and as unworthy as he feels for love, it blossoms in the heat of espionage.
If you have a thing for vampires like I do, then you'll love the necia warriors! SPACE VAMPIRES!
Check out Her Alien Savior and Her Alien Warrior, or read that free book you got for joining this newsletter Her Alien Exchange. All about hunky dangerous vampire warriors from space that have a kink for showing off their mates to their clan and battling for honor! They are the perfect grumpy cinnamon rolls because they strive for their mate's happiness but are the fiercest protectors and very possessive but in a way that proves they deserve and are honorable mates worthy of their bonds.
