How I chose my pen name and spicy romance for the soul🔥✨

welcome to the smuttier side of romance books with alien peens and the mates that love them

Alien Lovers UNITE, ,

Welcome to the smuttier side of romance books with alien peens and the mates that love them. If you're new here from a giveaway, I'm happy to have you join my author journey!

In my welcome email I talk about myself a little bit, who I am, but like most authors I'm a bit wordy and who knows whether you actually read it or not.

So, I'm Sky Robert, some of you know me as Stevie. You can address me as either, I don't isolate my author platforms, or hide that I have a pen name, but some have asked me before why I called myself Sky, and I thought I'd share that today.

I consider writing a sharing of my book babies with people, a birth of my imagination that I've thrust upon the world because readers, you, have supported the continued creation of these stories of fated mates, alien peens, political intrigue, and strange worlds.

That's right, I say support, because like most indie authors, the continued release of a book is up to readers as it takes a certain amount of time, money and energy to turn something from a hobby book on a computer drive into a published product for consumption. I write for passion, I share because of you.

When I was younger, my mom would talk about future grandchildren of hers, and I would dismiss that I didn't want any children, book babies were enough, though at the time I had yet to ACTUALLY finish creating a single book baby, just lots of partially finished ideas. And one romance in particular really made me think, damn this FMC is so strong to have survived everything life threw at her and it was this character's name that really stuck with me, called Skye in a historical romance by Beatrice Small.

This character went through HELL and back, and yet continued to find some happiness and freedom in all her trials. This story was not for the faint of heart, Skye was abused, raped, shipwrecked, sold, and had everything taken from her only to rise up and conquer once again. So many trigger warnings, and it was not a romance I ever want to read again, but one thing was for certain I viewed that name Skye as a strong person that could face anything and rise. I thought, what a strong name to give a child, that they could face hardships that life will challenge them and that would not chain them down, they would still find happiness and flourish no matter what. No limits. Strong, and untamed by what obstacles come along.

Because obstacles would come along, and I know women's rights have come a long way, but I've faced things in my past that would literally BREAK my f*cking heart if it happened to my daughter. I have cried myself to sleep many times with the haunting of my past being replayed for my daughter in her lifetime, and that fear is absolutely the worst part about being a parent. That is another story.

Suffice it to say, the name was not accepted when I had a daughter, and I went with Dylan instead, meaning great flow, or born of the sea. The sea is powerful and withstands so much shit thrown to it while still being the heart of life itself. Most of the oxygen on Earth comes from the water, and that's what my child was to me. My oxygen, my life, and my heart. Anyways, I consider my books my babies and what better way to keep the first strong name I thought I'd name a child in my life. I named my pen name Sky, because accepting that writing is my passion and my future takes strength and resilience. And I will continue to birth many book babies from this name and imparting my passion and strength into them.

That's what I view alien romance as, or any romance with lovely spicy smut wrapped in fun adventures. Strength and acceptance. I am a firm believer that book smut, and romance are empowering and help many people accept themselves and their selfcare. It feeds the soul, and helps it heal.

That's what reading about alien peen has done for me before I decided to write it for myself. It helped me accept myself, and be more confident in myself, and also helped understand that it's okay to feel like your needs aren't being met by a single human being in your life. I accept that no one person should be solely responsible for my happiness. How I handle my life is my choice, and the best people to surround myself with are ones that accept me with all my flaws, and to understand that no human is without them.

I know this is a lengthy newsletter, I apologize. But, I really want you to know that you are okay the way you are, and it's okay to like what you like, and read what you want to read. If you're anything like me, then reading alien romances, or spicy romances of any genre, have helped you be more accepting of yourself, because all those wonderful fated mates are so accepting of whoever their fated mate is and they see everything about them, even their flaws as perfect for them. And yes, some of you may say that well, it sets unrealistic expectations about life, and I would say to you that what it does is help heal unrealistic expectations about one's own self. And when someone is healthier and whole within themselves it is easier for them to accept the imperfections in others. We get our book fix and all of a sudden we are less likely to feel as unfulfilled in life.

I reflect on my own relationships a lot more kindly after a good romance escape.

So, go forth and read what you want to read, and check out these indie temptations, and if you're of the mind to, read the free book that you got when you joined this newsletter: Her Alien Exchange https://books.steviemarie.com/heralienexchange . Mondays usually suck, but this one really took the biscuit.

A hot dream about an even hotter fae left me with a strange mark. No, it wasn’t an STD. Instead, it might as well have been a death sentence.

I’d never been picked for so much as a raffle prize in my life, but somehow, I’d been Selected.

Nobody knew why the fae picked certain humans, or what happened to those they took, but the government had signed away our right to complain in exchange for peace. We knew two things—nobody escaped and nobody returned.

So, what’s a girl to do when she’s picked for a magical kidnapping? Get comfy with denial, of course. Then get kidnapped. Because you can’t outrun the fae hunters. Trust me, I tried.

All this hoo-ha lands me in Faerie, running for my life in a mysterious Hunt.

In a see-through dress.

Now, monsters are chasing me through an enchanted forest, and I’m not sure I want to know what happens if I’m caught. That is, until a delightfully terrifying pack of fae wolf shifters corners me like prey.

They look fiercely hungry.

But not for food.

But when I find myself in the path of a beautiful and mysterious witch who doesn't mind challenging me, I begin to believe that true love might just be within my reach.

Joula

I’ve kept a secret my whole life, and have been able to keep my mother and I safe.

Then one day the prince literally falls into my life and threatens to change everything.

We strike up an unlikely friendship that soon becomes something much more as I find myself drawn to him in ways I never thought possible and his smoldering gaze ignites a fire deep within me.

But with both our fathers determined to destroy our relationship, we must decide if our love is worth risking everything.

My alien warrior thinks he's supposed to save me, but we may just save each other.

What happens if your exchange program with another alien planet gets hijacked by a warrior that says your contracted host is a criminal? And you're required to help him infiltrate, and apprehend them, or else? Well, I guess that's what happened to me, but it was difficult to know who to trust when being a human meant I was treated like a second-class alien, and injected with nanobug trackers like a criminal.

All of that would be pretty difficult to handle if I was doing it on my own, but I wasn't the only one to get roped into this mission, and the warrior assigned to protect me during my mission was not only hot, but used to be commander of this ship before he was forcefully removed by the current warrior in charge. My only choice was to figure out a way of surviving this mission, and keeping my heart safe from catching the feels for an alien that didn't have the same kind of feelings towards intimacy as humans. Could I keep my feelings to myself when he starts calling me his mate, and runs off into danger without me?

Eeep, and also, PNR Guild reviewed Her Alien Prince giving it a 4-star! Saying:

"This book is chock full of surprises, secrets, betrayals, romance, and sex. I was really surprised by some of the secrets revealed and all the wheeling dealing that went on so I had to keep glued to each page for fear I would miss something.

If you love sci-fi then don’t miss this series and although each book is stand-alone, I highly recommend beginning with book one."

"Mrs. Robert's is a new to me author, but not anymore!

Wow, I found Mrs. Robert's treasures of trillume series through the alien romance group I am a part of and I am so glad I did because I loved Luan and Vareo's story so much because it was so different from other alien romance books I've read before. And because of that it kept me interested in their story from beginning to end, and now I can't wait to read the next book in this series." - 5-star Reviewer Alma on GR
