(Not that you should be afraid to rate honestly and share your true feelers about things, if my book was just okay for you, that's fine, not every book is for every person. If you write for everyone, you write for no one. As the saying goes.)
But, with that caveat in mind, and knowing that reviews are not mandatory for being on my team, nor are you punished or removed from the team for rating poorly. I have people on my team that have rated my books 2 stars before, or even DNFd a book. No judgement. But with that said...
HER ALIEN INSURGENT is my first launch to have 20 5-star reviews and 2 4 star reviews on launch day! That's a 4.91 STAR AVERAGE!
I know I said as long as I have 20 people to launch the book with then I don't have to push back the launch, and WOW! Thank you for all the kind words everyone! There are 45 people on this ARC team that OPT-ed into the ARC from the ARC team on short notice, and 22 of you have posted by launch day!

Her Alien Insurgent's Kindle Store Rank on Launch Day: 32,704
(Even made it to #90 in Category Sci-fi Erotica for a time)
We had 99 preorders before launch, and all of them excepting 2 were processed by yesterday. (31 preorders processed on launch day, and the rest the day before launch day) - This is one of the reasons why I always launch on a Tuesday.

8 (5-star) reviews were posted to Amazon by the time I write this email
22 reviews (4.91 star average) were posted to Goodreads!
1 StoryGraph addict posted their review to Storygraph (You know who you are! <3 I make sure my books are available on there for you and your reading streak.)

For a little context on launch stats. Her Alien Warrior was ranked at 24,602 in the overall Kindle Store on launch day! And Her Alien Savior was ranked at 38,266 on launch day.
So, Her Alien Insurgent had a launch between the two books, so averaging out between them. That's to be expected for such a short launch window. I made things more difficult for myself by planning spontaneous launch with Her Alien Warrior when I should have been focusing on Her Alien Insurgent's launch.
I'm very much a mood writer, and the mood struck.
I keep a spreadsheet of data for stuff and things. I do this, because I hyper fixate on things, and creating a spreadsheet helps me with keeping the data that my brain wants to keep cycling back to in one place, and then I spend less time spiraling about stuffage. Also, it's nice to see the data and compare it with my own past, to see my improvements, and tell myself HEY look, even though you are a hot mess, you have a 72% improvement with this launch as compared to the last launch. Sooo, good on you and congratulations (pat myself on the back) for gathering a wonderful team of alien fiends to frolic through my author journey with me! That means a pat on your back to, by the way!
I also like to make achievable author milestone goals to keep me excited and help stave off imposter syndrome.
One of those milestones I wanted to reach was being able to launch a book and reach 50+ reviews on Amazon within launch month, then launch week, then launch day.
We reached 50+ reviews in launch month with Her Alien Warrior last month!
Let's see if we can do that again with Her Alien Insurgent! I'll keep you posted next month!
Another Author Milestone is being able to reach launch cost breakeven within a month of launch, then a week of launch, then on launch day, and then breakeven on launch costs with preorder interest so we launch being covered and be able to finally have a book that pays me a wage like a for realsies job!
We reached breakeven on launch cost for Her Alien Warrior within a month of launch! That was my first ever breakeven in launch month, last month!
And Her Alien Warrior's launch actually helped boost its previous book Her Alien Savior into launch breakeven during its launch too! That's so exciting!
