And for those of you new to my newsletter, I wanted to share a little about myself and a few of my books to perhaps hook you into checking out the Trillume Universe!

ME! You can call me Sky or Stevie! Nope, Stevie is not short for anything or a nickname. Sky is the nickname I gave my author self when no one would let me name my first born child Skye, so I gave the name to all my book babies instead.

Some of you might ask, well, why not just wait until your second born, and I would promptly reply, one was enough to push out, and I already grabbed a package deal with my hubs to have a first child included without the pain. So, my first born was actually the second child and I think that's plenty.

Enough about the humans in training. I'm a pretty boring person outside of my niche desire to write about alien dongs. I narrate audiobooks in my soundbooth, which is where I also like to write because it helps with keeping distractions out.

To tell you the truth, my journey to writing about spicy alien romances started with writing slow-burn alien fantasy romances. I loved sci-fi, and I loved fantasy, so I wrote Kingdom of Acatalec which is a mash-up of everything I love. It's a parallel world connected to Earth with magic, the aliens live among us, one type of alien is very much a space vampire, and the only thing missing from it to be an alien romance is for the aliens to look more alien and of course open-door spice. (Kingdom of Acatalec is only available on Audible, as it was taken down so I could get my rights back from my publisher, and do a relaunch. I always retained my audiobook rights, but I don't have my e-book/paperback rights yet until the contract lapses.) I will be relaunching this story with SPICE and more alienness once my rights are returned.

So, since it was difficult to market Kingdom of Acatalec with it being both Sci-fi and Fantasy and not one or the other. I decided to double down and niche further into strictly alien romances after I read one too many repeating the same trope over and over again of abduction to slavery, and the stories were feeling more flat where I wasn't scratching my alien romance itch until I wrote them myself. I write these romances for me, but I share them for the readers who are like me and love to have a little more intensity and world building with their smut. Thus, Treasures of Trillume was born. All standalone romances that can be read in any order, but each book layers within the same universe and the more you read the more you learn and get sucked into the stories. Like my favorite TV shows, where you get a complete story in an episode (this case a book), but there is an overarching plot across them all.
