We are 4 days from August 1st and the launch of Her Alien Savior.
I've updated the book with all the corrections/typos fixed that my ARC team has found as well as a few more rounds of read throughs. I think we've got it ready for launch, if we missed something it's probably minor and not something that would take from the reading experience.
And as always, if you ever find errors in any of my books, please email me and I will have it updated during my next sweep so future readers will enjoy the story even more! As I like to say, a book is never "complete" simply "Let go" to fly in the world on its own. We could forever edit and never finish anything, but I'm very proud of the book that it's become.
The necia warriors are not for everyone, as they are a very no shame, exhibitionist kind of tribe of aliens, but for those who love Her Alien Exchange, I think you'll love Her Alien Savior EVEN MORE! I listened to the feedback on Her Alien Exchange, and made sure that even though the world plot continues that this book feels more complete than Her Alien Exchange.
And the reviews coming in from the ARC team have really given me a boost in pride that I have accomplished what I wanted to with this book. We've got a 4.53 average rating so far! I even converted a rather negative reviewer from Her Alien Exchange into a positive reviewer for Her Alien Savior! I consider that a win!
Some of you would probably ask, "Why would you allow someone who wrote negatively on a previous book to join a current ARC team?"
(Grins mischievously)
Because, my alien peen lovers, I get better with every book, and it's a HUGE boost to my ego to see someone who didn't like something of mine to then choose of their own free will to go through my application process, read another one of my books, and then rate my book higher than they did before.
I had that happen with Jewel of the Alien Bandit, a reviewer gave it 3 stars and on the next book Her Alien Prince gave it 5 stars! I am a glutton for seeing if I've improved my skills enough to convert negativity into positivity and create a FAN!
In my not so humble opinion, this reader probably knows who they are if they are on my newsletter, (it's not that difficult to suss out who it is if you read the reviews) and even though they rated my freebie book poorly and even went to say my ending was half-arsed, I believe they love my writing style and that's why they masochistically choose to read more of my work. They read Her Alien Exchange TWICE, despite their poor opinion of it. And they choose to join my ARC team for Her Alien Savior.
This tells me that they love my writing style and makes me think that they weren't upset with the story, but with how it ended. I will say, that I'm not pointing this reader out to shame them, or to out them in any way, but I accept that my books aren't for everyone. Though, I do gain an exuberant amount of joy from knowing that I've converted them into a fan, even if they won't admit it in their review.
They went on to say they wanted to give the book more stars if it wasn't for the editing. So, I think I've won! The ARCs always have errors in them, and most are fixed before official launch. I've even been complimented in my reviews of my other alien romances about the editing being well done. I have my ARC readers to thank for that. They are wonderful at catching typos and I do many more rounds of edits before the launch date.
I just want to say, I heart your face my tough reviewer. It brings me so much joy to see that despite not enjoying my freebie you went on to enjoy my other books and even joined my ARC team.
One DAY, possibly my next book. I will achieve that 5-star from you, and I think I'll shed a tear of accomplishment at creating a story that brings you and others joy. Much love.
