Firstly, welcome back to another week. I'd like to take a moment to remind new readers and old readers alike of who I am. My name is Stevie, I write fantasy and sci-fi romance. I'm a mom of two humans in training, and my husband doesn't read any books or play any video games--he's an engineer, who's into rebuilding cars. My daughter is joining Kindergarten this coming school year! My son will be in 4th grade and will soon be in double digits at 10 years old! I love to read, write, and narrate books. It's a majority of my personality. It's like someone says the word book, and my introvert light goes out and a new monster emerges. Did you say books?
Why yes, yes I did. My current series is the Dark Gods Rising, a modern retelling of Medusa's story after her head is reunited with her body. She doesn't know who she is, until fate wraps her up again, and an ancient prophecy of the end of the deathless gods begins. Medusa isn't a monster, she's a goddess, and it's her duty to protect, and her fate to die for this goal. But following her heart could help her change her fate while the dark gods rise to overthrow the Olympians after centuries of killing them under the guise of heroic feats. Thank you to LaWanda for reading Breaking Fate so fast! And for finding that typo of a stray sentence that didn't belong at the end of Chapter Four!
The error has been fixed, and updated, and I've fixed my Hardcover's content file as well! Anyone who has ordered the hardcover will receive the cleanest version, and the few copies I ordered with the error will be donated to a local library. (I'll cross out the error in Chapter Four.) My editor is going through for another sweep for proofreads as we speak! So, I think we're getting a super clean version for launch in October!

"I absolutely love this book! Even though I reallllly strongly dislike cliffhangers, it was still amazing. I did see the twist coming, but I've read ALOT of books, so it's kinda hard to surprise me nowadays. I like this version of Medusa and the Olympians better than other books I've read before. You definitely need to have read book one first. I can not wait to read the last book when it's written. Her writing just keeps you reading long after bedtime. I have loved every book I've read by this author, and I'm so glad I found her books.

If you haven't checked out book one, this is a series, these are not standalones, and I highly recommend reading Taking Medusa first, even though I do write my books to be easily read regardless of having read a previous book, there are plot reveals and spoilers if you start with book 2 instead of reading book 1 first.
Convincing you to read Taking Medusa:
Mermaids! Medusa is kidnapped to Atlantis for killing the last daughter of King Triton with her poisonous blood. To be fair.. she was trying to kill her first, and she has no idea how she survived it. She has no memory of being Medusa at all!
This is modern day and she believes that she's a normal mortal after her sister (a gorgon) stole her stone body from the watery depths and reunited her head after stealing it from Athena's shield, conveniently left in a museum instead of guarded by gods.
Enter DION! An Atlantis sentinel, who has some strange connection to her, and TRITON, who is apparently a glutton for falling for nymphs and collecting brides that don't survive long past their marriage vows.
There are mysteries, and romance, and adventure as Medusa (Aless) is lured back into the chaos and schemes of the gods. She's destined to protect them all, but fate has a funny way of trying to repeat itself. Can she keep her head this time around or will she sacrifice herself all over again?
