The Week's Key Customs & Trade Developments
Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to this week's Customs & Trade Weekly Brief.
Customs and trade information is everywhere. The challenge isn't finding information. It's knowing what actually matters to your business.
Every Friday, we cut through the noise and highlight the developments that deserve your attention.
What changed? Who is affected? What should you consider?
Here are this week's four developments.

Indonesia Leaves the UK Developing Countries Trading Scheme in 2027
What changed?
Indonesia will leave the UK's Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS) on 1 January 2027. From that date, Indonesian goods will move to the applicable UK Global Tariff rates instead of benefiting from DCTS preferential rates.
Who is affected?
UK importers sourcing goods from Indonesia, customs teams managing preferential tariff claims, and manufacturers in other DCTS countries using Indonesian materials in their products.
Why does it matter?
The change could increase import costs and affect supply chains beyond Indonesia. Businesses relying on Indonesian materials for products manufactured in other DCTS countries may also need to reassess their rules-of-origin calculations because Indonesia will leave the Asia regional cumulation group.
