Hey there,
I have a weird brain. Most writers probably do. Correction, most people probably do.
When I was working in corporate America, I used to sit through those incredibly stuffy meetings and think things like:
You know what this meeting needs? Someone to get up on the table and tap dance.
Or:
I wonder what would actually happen if I crawled under my desk and took a nap.
Or:
What if I unrolled a mat and did yoga right in the middle of the office?
I never actually did any of these things. Mostly.
But I've since realized that this is basically how my stories happen.
My brain takes a ridiculous little "what if?" and refuses to let it go.
Last month, Freaking Out in Flannel came from:
What if you could actually run away from everything and hide from your problems?
