I've become a little obsessed with YouTube

Most people rent their leads.

They rent them from an ad platform, or from a cold email setup that needs constant babysitting to stay out of the spam folder.

I know this world well because renting leads is my day job.

I work full time as a growth marketing manager, which means my weeks go to running LinkedIn ads, building cold email campaigns, producing UGC creative, and staring at dashboards.

Fun stuff.

But I genuinely like that work, and it does work as long as you keep feeding it. The catch is that the moment you stop paying or stop sending, the leads stop with it.

That's why I've become a little obsessed with YouTube as the opposite kind of system.

A good business channel keeps working while you sleep, it doesn't charge you per click, and by the time someone books a call with you, they've already watched you teach and decided they trust you.

So starting this week, you'll get one email from me every Sunday morning that to read with your coffee.

Here's what each one will include:

What I'm working on. A behind-the-scenes look at the campaigns, tests, and experiments I'm running across paid ads, cold email, and YouTube, including the ones that flop.

One YouTube lesson. One idea you can use to start a YouTube channel for your business so you can funnel leads to sales calls.

You'll probably get a lot out of these if you want to get better at marketing, if you're tired of proving yourself from scratch on every sales call, and if you want a lead source you actually own.

If that doesn't sound like you, no hard feelings.

See you Sunday.

Ryan
