Summer is here. Allegedly.
Summer is well and truly here but we need more sunshine. We can stay indoors and watch Wimbledon, the Euros and the fallout of the general election, but there's nothing to beat some time out in the open air. Whether it's thousands of miles away from home or in our own garden or yard. We all need time to recharge our batteries, and in some cases, rediscover the lost art of doing nothing.
And of course it's also a great time to pause, reflect and develop our skills. How can I make my practice more inclusive? How can I develop my practical skills? How can I help my clients - and myself - be more tolerant of uncertainty? These issues and more are covered in our Summer programme of specialist CBT workshops outlined below. Sign up now and take advantage of our Early Bird discounts.
And if you have 5 minutes to relax over a coffee, why not take part in our latest competition? An Amazon voucher for £10 and a free ticket for any of our workshops are up for grabs! Just tells us what five words sums up your perfect summer ...

Treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Sun 7 Jul 2024 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM BST
Studies indicate that up to 3% of the population suffer from obsessive‑compulsive disorder (OCD)
The disorder is characterized by recurrent obsessions or compulsions, and often both. These symptoms cause significant functional impairment and distress in many sufferers.
An obsession can be defined as "an unwanted intrusive thought, image or urge that repeatedly enters the person's mind".
Compulsions are repetitive behaviours or mental acts a person feels compelled to perform. A compulsion could be overt and observable by others, such as checking that a gas ring is turned off, or a hidden mental act that others cannot see, such as repeating a certain phrase to one's self inwardly.
This interactive webinar will introduce delegates to the main principles and practices in the treatment of OCD, noting the challenges of treatment, links to other disorders and the relevant NICE guidelines.
