PRACTICAL CBT Newsletter

by Professor Patrick McGhee, FRSA, BPS, BABCP

Dear ,

I hope our new newsletter finds you well. Spring seems to be just around the corner as winter recedes. At this time of the year I personally look forward to the clocks going forward which marks a turning point in the year. Clients, too, often seem ready to embrace a new beginning - or at least a fresh look at change. Maybe it's a mistake to make annual resolutions on 1 January in the heart of the darkness of winter? Perhaps we should have Spring rather than New Year Resolutions - what will we do to renew ourselves this year?

This week we have Deadly Sins, 1-Hour workshops, Spiderman, Couples, Narcissism, Journaling, the BABCP Reflective Statement for CPD and the weekly discount code.

59 Journaling Ideas: What to Write About in a Daily Journal

I am more positive about journaling as a technique than I used to be. But one size does not fit all. Here is an excellent list of practical tips to help clients (and therapists?) get the most out of a journal.
